PRECIOUS asked 50 women from across the fields of sport, business, arts and media ‘what’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever had?’

Olympic sprinter Christine Ohuruogu MBE, Baroness Floella Benjamin OBE,  ITN Broadcaster Charlene White and entrepreneur Jessica Huie are just some of the women who replied.

 As International Women’s Month draws to a close, come and help us celebrate the launch of The PRECIOUS Book of Quotes, a unique book showcasing words of wisdom from 50 inspirational women.

 A panel of some of the women featured in the book will talk about about their journey to succes and what International Women’s Month means to them

 Join us for networking, conversation, drinks and nibbles, as we mark one of our proudest moments – our first book.

The panel will be chaired by Jennifer G Robinson, PRECIOUS Contributing Editor,

CHARLENE WHITE is a presenter and journalist for ITV News and ITV London. She has previously worked right across the BBC including 1Xtra, Radio 1, BBC News 24, Radio 5 Live, BBC3 and BBC London. Charlene regularly mentors young people, and has volunteered at several community radio stations, schools and colleges to help them with media training. Charlene is a member of the Diversity Panel at ITV News and regularly participates in events for the Cultural Diversity Network.

LAXMI HARIHARAN is an entrepreneurial marketing leader with more than 15 years experience across media brands: MTV Networks Asia & NBC Universal Global Networks. She has a proven track record in growing international brands in challenging markets. Having grown up in Bombay & lived in both Singapore & Hong Kong, she is now settled in London. 

 

SHAHENA ALI, the founder and managing director of the successful beauty brand, The Powder Lounge joins the PRECIOUS Book of Quotes launch panel on March 31.
Shahena founded the company in 2007 and has quickly established it as a specialist in brow and lash treatments and products, with Brow and Lash Bars located in Harrods,Topshop, Debenhams and Superdrug stores.
